Ambassador Cruise Line and Compagnie Française de Croisières (CFC) have completed their post-merger integration.
The merger, backed by shareholders Njord Partners and Cheyne Capital, marks the unification of both companies under one operational and strategic framework.
Christian Verhounig, Ambassador’s Group CEO, said: “This integration has delivered a stronger, more efficient and more unified organization that reflects our commitment to listening, evolving and providing our guests with even more opportunities to enjoy the warmest welcome at sea with us.”
Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt, director general, France, said: “With the integration now complete, CFC can fully focus on growing the Renaissance business in France and the French Overseas Territories, including Guadeloupe and Martinique.”
Ambassador said in a press release that since the merger was announced in January 2025, the group’s shared expertise and economies of scale have delivered tangible results.
The announcement follows the Renaissance’s departure on the inaugural sailing of the group’s first-ever fly-cruise winter season, representing Ambassador’s first venture into fly-cruising.
It also marks CFC’s 2027 no-fly summer season, going on sale almost 18 months ahead of the first departure, which went on sale less than a year before the initial sailing.
The group has also recently launched a second Caribbean fly-cruise program featuring 10 sailings operating between October 2026 and April 2027.
According to the press release, the integration provides a formidable platform for expanding Ambassador’s footprint in the European market.
The group’s focus is now on leveraging its offering to establish new destinations while delivering cruise experiences to a broad audience.
The group has implemented a restructuring that centralizes all operational, financial and IT functions at Ambassador’s UK head office in Purfleet. These areas now report directly to group-wide leaders.
As part of the reorganization, CFC’s Marseille-based team will now focus exclusively on the sales and marketing of the Renaissance, supported by a strengthened commercial structure following the appointment of Gilles Chauvet as commercial director in September 2025.
Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt has been named director general, France, reporting directly to Group CEO Christian Verhounig.
CFC will now be operating from Dunkirk and Marseille through the summer months, while Ambassador continues to serve the British market from seven UK ports.
PEEL Entertainment has extended its onboard program to the Renaissance, and Harding+, Ambassador’s retail partner, now operates retail spaces on all three ships in the fleet.
