The Icon of the Seas will sail from Galveston starting in August of 2027, Royal Caribbean International announced on Wednesday.
The news was part of the company’s 2027 program announcement that included Texas, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey and Baltimore.
The Icon will sail six- to eight-night Eastern and Western Caribbean getaways to Royal Caribbean’s destinations Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, along with Roatan, Honduras, and Cozumel, where guests can visit Royal Beach Club Cozumel.
She will be joined by the Liberty of the Seas, sailing from Galveston on four- to eight-night cruises starting in April 2027, as well as the Symphony of the Seas, offering four to eight-night Caribbean sailings from Texas as well.
The company also announced the Ovation and Navigator will sail from Los Angeles in 2027, with the Ovation offering short cruises and the Navigator on a seven-night program.
In the Northeast, the Oasis will reposition to Cape Liberty in May 2027, sailing seven-night cruises, while hte Odyssey will sail seven- and 12-night cruises from the same port. In addition, the Independence will offer four- to nine-night cruises from Cape Liberty. The Vision will sail from Baltimore.
