Sea Cloud Cruises’ 2026 intimate Cultivated Journeys sailings, hosted by celebrated media personalities, guest chefs, wellness experts, acclaimed musicians, and accomplished authors, will welcome onboard veteran broadcast journalists Joel Seidman, Kerry Sanders, and Kevin Tibbles.
Seidman and Sanders will be returning hosts who have previously participated in the cruise line’s Cultivated Journeys program.
“Our guests were captivated by the rich storytelling and insider perspectives shared by Kerry Sanders and Joel Seidman on our past Cultivated Journeys,” said Mirell Reyes, president and CEO of Sea Cloud Cruises North America.
He further went on to say in a press release: “They bring history, culture, and current affairs to life in a way that deeply resonates. We are delighted to welcome Kevin Tibbles to the esteemed roster of lecturers for 2026. His distinguished career and decades of insightful reporting will serve to further elevate the intellectually enriching and immersive experiences that our guests have come to enjoy aboard Sea Cloud Cruises.”
Tibbles and Seidman will be joining forces aboard the Sea Cloud Spirit for a March 1 to 13, 2026, journey through the Panama Canal.
Sanders will helm a Mediterranean voyage aboard the Sea Cloud Cloud Spirit from September 1 to 9, 2026, with stops in Corsica and Sardinia.
These broadcast journalists will share their experiences and engage in conversations with guests during the voyages.
Seidman will likely touch on topics of politics, national security, and international affairs. He is currently a journalist with BBC News. He has contributed to major NBC programs in the past, including Decision 2010 and NBC Nightly News, where he covered global affairs, immigration policy, and Arctic military activity.
Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Tibbles has been a longtime NBC News correspondent and is known for covering a slew of significant world events, which will likely be topics of discussion. These include events like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the election of Barack Obama, and the funeral of Princess Diana. Both Tibbles and Seidman will be joined by German journalist Tom Buhrow, who served as director general (Intendant) of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR).
Award-winning environmental, political, and military journalist Sanders could talk about countless elections he has covered over the years, as well as the military conflicts he reported on while embedded with the US Marine Corps.
